Sisterhood Isn’t Competition, It’s Connection 💜

  💜 Becoming Her: Loving Your Sister Sis, can we talk about sisterhood for a minute? And I mean REAL sisterhood. Not just calling somebody “sis” in the comments. Not just liking her pictures. Not just being around when everything is going good. I’m talking about loving your sister for real. Loving her when she wins. Loving her when she’s struggling. Praying for her when she doesn’t even know you’re praying. Showing up when there’s nothing in it for you. And being able to clap for her without wondering, “When is it going to be my turn?” Her Win Doesn’t Take Away From Yours Sis, somebody else’s blessing is not proof that God forgot about you. Read that again. Her winning does not mean you’re losing. If your sister gets the job, celebrate her. If her business takes off, support her. If God opens a door for her, clap LOUD. If she finally accomplishes something you’ve watched her pray about, praise God with her. We have to stop allowing comparison to ruin genuine sis...

God Gets The First Conversation

  Today was a DAY, sis. And if I’m being completely transparent… today felt like hell. 😩 I woke up late for work, and from there it just felt like one thing after another. Then came the attitudes from staff, and I’m at a point in my Becoming Her season where I’m learning that I don’t have to let people take me out of character just because they’re having a moment. But today? Whew. I cried. Not because I’m weak, but because I was frustrated and overwhelmed. Have you ever cried because you knew you were trying your best, but somehow you still felt like you were being made out to be the problem? That was me today. I know the work I put in. I know how much I do—and then some. So being treated like I’m always the issue? Nah, sis. That’s a no for me. My peace matters. My sanity matters. And lately, I’ve been learning how to stand on business without losing myself in the process. I could feel myself getting there today, so I turned on my gospel music. 🙌🏾 I needed something to ...

  💜 Becoming Her: Chosen, Not Forsaken Sis, sometimes you have to remind yourself who God says you are. Not who people said you were. Not who rejection made you feel like you were. Not who your mistakes told you that you were. Not who fear tried to convince you that you were. But who God says you are. I am chosen, not forsaken. I am who You say I am. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. 💜 And some days, you have to speak that over yourself until your heart catches up with your faith. You Are Chosen There will be seasons when you feel overlooked. You may feel left out, forgotten, or like everybody else is moving forward while you are still waiting. But sis, being overlooked by people does not mean you have been overlooked by God. You are still chosen. Still loved. Still seen. Still called. Still covered.
