Before You Do Anything Else, Give God the Glory

Before you check your phone…
Before you scroll social media…
Before you think about everything you have to do…

Pause and give God His glory.

Every morning you wake up is more than the start of another day—it’s a gift. Someone prayed for another sunrise but didn’t get to see it. Yet God, in His grace and mercy, chose to wake you.

That alone is reason to say, “Thank You, Jesus.”

Sometimes we become so focused on our schedules, responsibilities, and worries that we forget the greatest blessing happened before our feet even touched the floor—we woke up.

Waking up isn’t something we earned. It’s evidence of God’s mercy. It’s another opportunity to love, forgive, grow, serve, and become who He created us to be.

No matter what yesterday looked like, today is a fresh start.

So before you ask God for anything, take a moment to thank Him for everything.

Thank Him for breath in your lungs.
Thank Him for another chance.
Thank Him for His grace.
Thank Him because He chose you to see another day.

Sis, don’t take your mornings for granted. They are a reminder that God isn’t finished with you yet.

So tomorrow morning, before your feet hit the floor, whisper these simple words:

“Thank You, Lord, for another day. I give You all the glory.”

That one moment of gratitude can change the posture of your entire day.

  💜 Becoming Her: Sis, Be About the Father’s Business Sis, at some point you have to ask yourself: Am I busy… or am I about the Father’s business? Because there is a difference. We can be busy working, building, posting, planning, helping everybody else, chasing goals, and checking things off our list—but still neglect what God actually called us to do. And in this season of Becoming Her, I don’t just want to be busy. I want to be obedient. What Did God Tell YOU to Do? One thing I’m learning is that everybody’s assignment isn’t my assignment. Whew, sis. That will free you. You don’t have to compete with her. You don’t have to move because everybody else is moving. You don’t have to start something because you saw somebody else doing it.
